How Business Days Are Calculated
In this calculator, a business day means Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays are always excluded from the count.
Public holidays are not automatically excluded in this version. When you add or subtract business days, the tool skips weekends only and moves the calendar date forward or backward one weekday at a time.
- Friday + 1 business day = Monday
- Monday + 5 business days = the following Monday
- Monday through Friday = 5 business days
